Wizkid’s tweet announcing the release of his documentary has seen mixed reactions from a lot of Nigerian online. Many have likened it to when the singer blasted Reekado Banks for a similar thing.
Wizkid released a new documentary on Youtube to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut album. He sent out a new post on Twitter to announce that on Saturday, the 12th of June 2021.
A lot of fans were displeased with the timing of Wizkid’s tweet, as it coincided with the ongoing Democracy Day Protests across the country. Some Twitter users pointed out that the singer had called out Reekado Banks for the same thing during last year’s protests. Twitter user, @AinOorh writes;
Lol I remember Wizkid INSULTING Reekado Banks for posting music during the EndSars protest. What is this? Where is the outrage?
May God forgive all of your for your hypocrisy. It stinks.
Meanwhile, there was another section of his fanbase that insists Wizkid has every right to promote his business regardless of the protests.
